❄️Mini Treats to Kick Off the New Year
January is all about fresh starts, and our PTO was excited to help kick off the new year by showing appreciation to our amazing teachers and staff with mini treats! ❄️✨
Staff were invited to stop by and choose a small treat at their leisure—a simple way to add a little joy to the start of a busy month. From sweet bites to lighter options, the goal was to offer something for everyone while reminding our staff how grateful we are for all they do.
These small gestures are just one way we like to say thank you for the dedication, care, and energy our teachers and staff bring to our students every day.
We hope these mini treats helped make January a little brighter and helped start the new year on a positive note! 💙🦅

❄️✨ A Season of Thanks: 12 Days of Winter Wonder
Throughout December, our staff were surprised with 12 Days of Winter Wonder, a special PTO appreciation series created to spread joy, gratitude, and a little extra cheer during the busy holiday season.
Each day brought a small token of thanks—from sweet treats and cozy surprises to thoughtful notes and moments of encouragement—all designed to remind our incredible teachers and staff how valued they truly are.
This celebration wouldn’t have been possible without the generosity of our school community. Thank you to the families who donated items, contributed funds, helped assemble surprises, and supported PTO fundraisers throughout the year. Your kindness helped turn everyday moments into meaningful memories.
Most importantly, thank you to our teachers and staff for the care, dedication, and heart you pour into our students every single day. Winter Wonder was just a small way to say how much you are appreciated—not just in December, but all year long.

🥧 November Teacher Appreciation: Mini Pies for Our Incredible Staff!
As we move into the season of gratitude, the JRW PTO wanted to share a sweet token of thanks with the amazing staff who make James R. Watson Elementary such a special place.
Today in the Teacher Lounge, staff enjoyed complimentary mini pies — a little Thanksgiving treat to celebrate all the heart, dedication, and energy you pour into our Eagles each day.
A gluten-free option was also provided to ensure everyone could enjoy a moment of sweetness!
Our staff's hard work continues to inspire us, and we are so grateful for everything you do to support our students and our school community.

🍎 Teacher Appreciation Apple Bar –
A Sweet Success!
Today’s Apple Bar was the core of fall fun! Our teachers and staff loved creating their own apple treats with caramel, peanut butter, crushed pretzels, Heath bits, and more. It was the perfect pick-me-up before fall break—and such a hit that we might just make it a yearly tradition!
A huge thank-you to Orchard Hill Farms for donating all the fresh apples that made this event possible. 🍏 Your generosity helped make our staff feel truly appreciated!
October 2025 Halloween Teacher & Staff game
🎃 You’ve Been Booed! Teacher Lounge Game
Our staff got a spooky surprise this week — the PTO’s “You’ve Been Booed!” Halloween game is back! 👻
Teachers and staff stopped by the Teacher Lounge and grabbed a “You’ve Been Booed” lanyard and pick out a sweet treat from the PTO. Then, they continued the fun by “booing” another staff member! It’s a playful way to share some Halloween cheer and a few extra smiles throughout the building.

This fall, we’re celebrating our amazing teachers with a cozy autumn treat! Nothing says “thank you” quite like warm apple cider and fresh fair donuts. It’s a simple way to show our gratitude for the hard work, dedication, and heart our teachers pour into every day.
At James R. Watson Elementary, we believe our teachers are the core of our school—and just like cider and donuts, they make everything sweeter. Thank you for all you do to inspire, guide, and support our students!
