JRW PTO – Celebrating a Year to Remember!

As we wrap up another incredible school year at James R. Watson Elementary, we are so proud of all that our PTO, staff, students, and families accomplished together. This year was filled with fun, connection, and meaningful moments that made a lasting impact on our school community.

💛 Supporting Our Staff

Throughout the year, we showed our appreciation with monthly staff appreciation treats and surprises to remind our teachers and staff how valued they are. We wrapped up the year with an unforgettable Teacher Appreciation Week – “The Great Teacher Treasure Heist” 🏴‍☠️
From daily “Loot Stops” and treats to raffle prizes and themed surprises, we loved celebrating the amazing educators who do so much for our students every day.

🎉 Memorable Student Events

This year brought so many opportunities for students to have fun and make memories, including our Son + One Cosmic Bowling Event, the exciting Mario Kart-themed Coin Race Fundraiser, and multiple Dine to Donate Nights that supported our school. We wrapped up the year with an incredible End-of-Year 5th Grade Party filled with food, games, swag bags, and special guests. Our 5th graders celebrated the end of their elementary journey with an unforgettable afternoon featuring field games, sweet treats, and community partners who helped make the day extra special.

🤝 Community Support

We are incredibly grateful for our local businesses and organizations who supported our students throughout the year—whether through donations, events, or partnerships. A special thank you to Dairy Freeze, Classic City Creamery, Combat Ops, Texas Roadhouse, the YMCA, Eckhart Public Library, and Orchard Hill Farms for their generosity and involvement. We also extend our heartfelt thanks to all of our JRW families who donated throughout the year to help make these events possible. Your support truly enriches our school community and creates meaningful experiences for our students!

📚 Building More Than Events

Beyond the fun, PTO continues to support our school through fundraising efforts such as our Color Run, Texas Roadhouse Bread & Butter sales, Rise’n Roll fundraisers, monthly Dine to Donate events, and Spirit Wear sales. These efforts, along with classroom support and community involvement, help create meaningful opportunities and enhance the overall student experience.
